A Breath of Air

Golden summer days, a walk through the dreamy Norfolk Broads. A perfect place to sit and reflect, and maybe close your eyes and dream.

A traditionally tied bundle of golden reeds lay drying, beneath an arching bow of an oak tree. The distant view is of golden fields under a summer sky.
A breath of air hardly there, passed me by beneath a sun-bleached sky. Seeking shade, a tree bade me welcome. Feeling weary, I settled there. I fell into a languid slumber, dreaming of lands yonder, with snow swirling all around, drifting on a sun-parched ground. The lightest touch, gently teasing, drew me from slumbering rest. Eyes bleary, I saw snow falling - had my dreams manifest? I cupped a flake, now awake, clearly there before my eyes, fluffy seed heads all about me dancing on a breath of air. A breath of air that was hardly there.
